About the pipa
About the pipa
The pipa is a 2,000-year-old Chinese lute known for its expressive power:
from whisper-soft storytelling(the lyrical style) to explosive percussive attack ( the fierce martial style).
Its 4 strings and 30 frets allow techniques found in no other instrument:
rapid finger rolls, bending tones, harmonics, and dramatic strumming patterns.
